New Designated Agency Rules for Realtors in Vermont

Effective December 1, 2015, the Vermont Real Estate Commission now allows Designated Agency at Real Estate firms in Vermont. The new rules allow two real estate salespeople at the same brokerage firm to be involved in the same transaction. That is the buyer and seller can be represented by salespeople from the same brokerage firm. This is a change that buyers and sellers can voluntarily agree to and they must sign a Mandatory Consumer Disclosure for the designated agency to be allowed.
