Dave Sterrett, Esq.
Dave Sterrett, Esq. is the principal of Sterrett Law, PLC. Dave is a magna cum laude graduate from Middlebury College ('99) and a cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School ('04). After graduating from law school, Dave was a judicial clerk in Massachusetts for a year. Dave then split his time between Boston and Washington, DC practicing law at a large firm and lobbying on Capitol Hill on health care issues. In 2014, Dave started his own firm with offices in Boston and South Burlington, Vermont.
Dave is admitted to practice law in the State of Vermont, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the State of New York. Dave is a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts and Vermont and a licensed real estate salesperson in Virginia. He is fluent in written and spoken French.
Danielle Pezzimenti | Senior Paralegal
Danielle Pezzimenti is the Chief Operations Officer and Senior Paralegal at Sterrett Law, PLC. Danielle is a graduate of McGill University (‘02), and an MLitt with Honors graduate of the University of Aberdeen (‘05) in Scotland. For over 15 years Danielle has worked with individual investors and businesses. She began her career in the securities industry helping clients with their financial planning and investment allocation needs. After transitioning into hard assets with the creation of her real estate brokerage, Piper Realty, Danielle continued to develop her expertise assisting individual and commercial investors to build their real estate portfolios and implement their development plans. With a focus on areas of development, real estate, and emerging cannabis law, Danielle is able to incorporate her real estate and investment background in order to help Sterrett Law clients with their complex zoning and business needs. Danielle brings an intelligent and compassionate approach to building long-term holistic client relationships.
Rebecca DiGiuseppe | M&A Project Manager
Rebecca DiGiuseppe is a project manager for Sterrett Law. Rebecca obtained her BA from the University of Massachusetts (‘02) and her MA from the University of Connecticut (‘05). She embarked on her professional journey in public policy research, dedicating twelve years to managing federally sponsored research studies. Driven by her entrepreneurial nature, she pivoted into the CBD industry in 2018, gaining firsthand understanding of small business operations. Drawing from her business acumen and knack for organization, she transitioned into the role of project manager. Based in Massachusetts, she shares her home office with her retired racing greyhound, Trixie.
Mary Ann Livingston | Senior Researcher
Mary Ann Livingston is Senior Paralegal and Marketing Manager at Sterrett Law, PLC. Since joining the firm in 2015, Mary Ann has focused on issues affecting entrepreneurs and small businesses and has developed an expertise in trademark law as integral to the branding process. This is a natural segue from her 25 years as a communications consultant in Manhattan and DC working with Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, and entrepreneurs to define and communicate their vision, mission, and unique brand to all key audiences. Her work with trademark law has given her additional tools to help businesses strengthen their brand, promote and protect their marks. Since 2019 Mary Ann has attended Clio Cloud Conferences online and in person. At the 2022 Clio Cloud Conference she found great inspiration in CEO Jack Newton’s vision for the future of law. This included an increased focus on developing the mindset, skills, inclusive approach, and technical tools needed to create the client-centered law firm of the future. And to make the world more just and to help the underserved.
Donna Pezzimenti | Office Assistant
Donna Pezzimenti is the Office Assistant at Sterrett Law. Donna grew up in Montreal, QC and graduated from nursing school at the Catherine Booth Hospital in Montreal before moving to Vermont. She worked for over forty years as a postpartum nurse, dedicating her energy to women's and infant health. After retiring from nursing to spend time with family and grandchildren, Donna joined Sterrett Law as a part-time office assistant at the South Burlington location. From her many years of nursing, she brings compassion and energy to the law firm. When not at the office, she enjoys travel, and continues to spend time with her family and grand-children, her two cats, and her grand-puppy.
Piper | Chief Canine Officer and Head of Security
Piper is our Sheltie co-worker. She joins us in the office most days. She enjoys relaxing on her office bed, informing us of the presence of any squirrels outside the window, and snacking on treats during the workday. When not at work, Piper does agility classes, enjoys hanging out with her family, and loves going for long walks in the woods.
